Connect AI apps

Ask the AI app you already use to write and schedule your posts, or to tell you what performed. You connect it once with a URL and your Kadro Social sign-in — no API keys.

Updated 2026-10-03

Before you start

Connecting AI apps is included in the Kadro Social plan. Every app uses the same address — Kadro Social’s MCP server:

https://kadrotools.ai/mcp

When you connect, the app sends you to Kadro Social to sign in and choose what it may do:

  • Read + drafts — See your accounts, posts and analytics, upload media, and save drafts. Nothing goes out until you schedule it yourself.
  • Full access — Everything above, plus scheduling, publishing, editing, rescheduling and canceling posts on your accounts.

To change it later, disconnect the app (see below) and connect it again.

Claude

On claude.ai, Claude Desktop or the Claude mobile app:

  1. Open Settings → Connectors and choose Add custom connector.
  2. Name it Kadro Social and paste the URL above.
  3. Choose Connect, sign in to Kadro Social, pick an access level and Allow.

In a chat, turn Kadro Social on from the tools menu if it isn’t already.

Claude Code

Add the server, then sign in:

claude mcp add --transport http --scope user kadro-social https://kadrotools.ai/mcp
claude mcp login kadro-social

Your browser opens to sign in to Kadro Social. (--scope user makes it available in every project; leave it out to add it to the current one only. You can also sign in from inside Claude Code: run /mcp, select kadro-social and choose Authenticate.) Claude Code asks before it runs a tool, unless you’ve allowed it.

Codex

Add the server; Codex opens your browser to sign in right away:

codex mcp add kadro-social --url https://kadrotools.ai/mcp

To sign in again later, run codex mcp login kadro-social. Codex asks you to approve every tool that schedules, publishes or cancels a post. If the sign-in page says the app couldn’t be verified, sign in with:

codex mcp login kadro-social --oauth-client-registration dcr

ChatGPT

ChatGPT connects custom MCP servers in developer mode. Turn it on in Settings → Apps (under advanced settings), create an app with the URL above, and sign in to Kadro Social when ChatGPT asks. Which ChatGPT plans offer developer mode — and whether it can make changes or only read — is up to OpenAI; ChatGPT asks you to confirm every action that changes something.

Cursor

Add Kadro Social to ~/.cursor/mcp.json (or your project’s .cursor/mcp.json):

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "kadro-social": {
      "url": "https://kadrotools.ai/mcp"
    }
  }
}

In Settings → MCP, Kadro Social shows as needing a login — select it to sign in.

Other apps

Any app that supports remote MCP servers with OAuth sign-in (Streamable HTTP) can connect with the same URL.

What it can do

  • Read — your connected accounts and their limits, posting schedule, posts and their results, analytics, media library and each platform’s rules.
  • Drafts — create, edit and delete drafts; add media from a public link or through an upload link.
  • Publish (Full access only) — schedule, publish now, reschedule and cancel; edit a queued post’s text, media or accounts (until it starts publishing) and move it back to drafts.

It can’t connect or disconnect social accounts — do that in Channels— and it doesn’t change your settings or billing.

Things to try:

  • “Draft a LinkedIn post and a shorter X version announcing our new feature, and save them as drafts in Kadro Social.”
  • “Schedule this for my next open slot on Bluesky and Threads.”
  • “Fix the typo in tomorrow’s scheduled LinkedIn post.”
  • “Which of my posts did best in the last 30 days, and what do they have in common?”
  • “Did yesterday’s post go out everywhere? If something failed, why?”

Good to know

  • Every post is checked against the same platform rules as the composer before it’s scheduled — edits to a queued post too; the app gets the problems back and can fix them.
  • An app edits a post the same way Edit does in the app: in place, and only until the post starts publishing.
  • Posts an app made are marked via its name on the Posts page, and every change it makes is listed under Account → Connected AI apps.
  • TikTok posts made or edited by an app go to your TikTok inbox: you get a notification in the TikTok app and finish posting there. That includes a post you set up in the app to publish directly — once an app edits it, it goes to the inbox instead.
  • For files on your computer, the app gives you an upload link (valid 30 minutes, works once). Images are compressed and large videos resized in your browser, as in the composer.
  • Each connection can make up to 60 requests a minute. Across all your connected apps together, up to 30 posts can be scheduled, rescheduled, edited while queued, or published an hour, and 30 media files imported or upload links created.
  • Posts you publish through an app are yours, as if you’d made them in the composer — review what it writes.

Disconnect an app

Go to Account → Connected AI apps and choose Disconnect. The app loses access immediately. Changing or resetting your password disconnects every app. If your subscription ends, connected apps stop working until you renew. What Kadro Social stores about connections is in the privacy policy.
